RENOS for HEROES was founded in the Fall of 2010 by Toronto-based contractor Jim Caruk, the well-known host of HGTV's Real Renos and Handyman Superstar Challenge, in association with volunteer contractors and manufacturers in the Canadian home improvement industry and with the support of the Canadian Armed Forces. RENOS for HEROES, wants to help our wounded soldiers to make these changes to their homes, minimizing the expense and reducing the stress.
The branding was well put together but completing tasks in a high pressure environment with very stringent dead lines wasn't always an easy task. With multiple events each year, including the Heart Gala, Renos For Heroes Golf Tournament, A Bike Rally and many smaller supporting rolls the need to have answers and options ready at a moments notice was a crucial part to staying on task and meeting deadlines.
Where We Started
We became familiar with each event as if it was our own, understanding the message and the meaning that needed to be portrayed. We looked at past events and combed through any documents or images made available. From this point we were not only able to make appropriate suggestions but create the branding and supply the hard goods to make each event a success.
With our 15+ years of experience in event marketing we started by providing initial design concepts for each event. Following this we tackled sponsorship forms, on-line marketing messages & invitations. We then shifted gears to creating welcoming & sponsorship banners, promotional give-a-ways, custom tents and flags along with seating charts and event literature.
Well thought out designs and promotional products combined with trade show displays and corporate apparel has lead to successful and profitable events. Keeping costs low with quick execution combined with quality products that have been tested in advance allows Reno's For Heroes to present a positive message that is inline with the original branding goals and are the building blocks for future success.
